Andrea Antonelli # 8 RIP

Postby RollingStoner » Fri Jul 26, 2013 10:43 am

A special thought about Andrea Antonelli by two-time World Superbike Champion James Toseland:

“Dear family and friends of Andrea, I would like to express with these lines how sorry I am to have seen Andrea losing his life last Sunday. I’ve lost many people - friends and family - in this amazing sport and I respect each and every one of them for being so brave to put their lives on the line in ord...er to try and achieve their goals. Unfortunately, Andrea’s wish to do his very best leaves friends and family with some unanswered questions about why he chose such a dangerous job and why you allowed him to race. Doing our best in life is what drives us forward and Andrea wanted to be the best in what he did! He paid the biggest price to achieve what he wanted and this won’t be forgotten.”

Thanks Rolling. It's always sad to hear of anyone passing. So often we see riders crash & get back up again. It's no more comfort knowing that it is obviously more expected to happen than any of us walking down the street, but it's just as bitter pill to swallow. My prayers are for his family now. They must be hurting badly. May you rest in peace Andrea
