Sorry to @KristianLindbom for the tap in turn 1, I'm sure I'm not the only one to have ever done it. Disappointing race in general, ah well.

Who's the bigger man now, Kristian and Aaren?

 Yep. That's one of the things that Casey has always been good at - not just telling it like it is, but admitting that he has made a mistake - even though it wasn't directly his fault. Most people have disliked what Casey has had to say over the years, mainly because he speaks the truth ;)

I saw the morning qualifying session too and Casey was really on it today and fully looked sorted.
At least it was great to watch him going like a bat out of hell to make up those 12 places! Very classy indeed.
Here is the link to the offical V8 report on the race: http://www.v8supercars.com.au/news/action-off-the-start-in-dunlop-race-one

You lucky ducky speedy. I would love to see him live, but you must have been livid, seeing him getting punted off the road. Maybe it was a blessing that I was at my kids B'day party & missed it. I would probably have sent the remote clear through our TV

There are times when the poster of the clip will not let it get copied to another site Marg by embedding it with a certain code in the address bar. I have at times found exactly the same. Sometimes I have to search around for the same footage on another similar post & usually one of them will work. At times, I have managed to not paste the address directly inbetween the youtube & it won't work then. Apart from that, that's about all I can think of. Don't be discouraged Marg. I'm sure at times, the internet & computers are being used as a conspiracy to make us all go mad

 Of what we know of Casey, there would have been some rather forthright & to the point wording used I'm sure. Lol, at least we all know where he stands on things, very much unlike certain prima donnas that prance around issues so as to "tow the party line." ;)

This on & from Casey at http://www.v8supercars.com.au/news/second-tier-v8-races-too-short-stoner:

Saturday 27 July 2013 16:57
By: AAP

Usually Casey Stoner has no problem with speed but it seems V8 Supercars' second-tier races are over way too quickly for the two-time MotoGP world champion's liking.

Stoner was left lamenting the series' 14-lap race format at the Coates Hire Ipswich 360 on Saturday after finishing 17th when his rotten luck returned.

He was impressive in practice and qualified seventh for the opening race of the weekend but again found himself at the back of the field by the second lap after being spun around by Geoff Emery.

Even before the race started Stoner complained about the "ridiculously short" races.

And his opinion had not changed after his finish ensured he would start 17th on the grid for Sunday's second 14-lap race at Queensland Raceway.

"It's no secret we've been plagued by bad luck all year and I think what's most disappointing is that the weekend format doesn't allow for recovery," Stoner said.

"We had great speed and with the pace we had, a podium position was a big possibility.

"But to be turned around... in such short races it ends up costing you for the rest of the weekend.

"We don't get to qualify again."

Stoner always faced a steep learning curve after his surprise switch from two to four wheels this year.

But he admitted the bad luck that had relegated him to back-of-the-field bun fights in short races had stunted his education.

The series started with 23-lap races in Adelaide and 18 in Perth before the 14-lap format started at the last round in Townsville.

"Last year the last race here was 22 laps and now we're down to 14. It's just not enough time for all the drivers to show their potential and that's what this category is all about and it's why everyone is in such a rush," Stoner said.

"We were quick and I think we could have gone faster again but we needed to preserve our tyres for Sunday.

"We're improving but racing is about results. I'm going to have to drive my arse off tomorrow."

Stoner has been a big hit with V8 Supercars fans but he may have lost one after earning the ire of rival Kristian Lindbom, who failed to finish following early contact between the pair.

"I am really disappointed with Casey. He drove into me for no reason," Lindbom said.

"I was a big fan of his. He is a two-time world champion and has more experience than me but in my eyes that was not on.

"I might have to have a few words with him."

....................... yes Casey, I completely agree, the races are absurdly short.

Least Casey still has his sense of humour intact

@LeeHoldsworth @michaelcarus0 Can I join your no luck club? Or am I not quite there yet:)

and Michael Caruso's response

@LeeHoldsworth As CEO of the 'Club' let me welcome our newest member @Official_CS27 to the club no driver wants to be in. #driversloveclubs

Also found the following tweets quite amusing

Pitlane Whiteboard@PitlaneWB1h ‏
#F1 NEWS: Kimi's manager said he was signed at Red Bull, but then Casey got fastest time in Dunlop series practice and now all bets are off.

This last one made me laugh after the spat between Aaren and Casey earlier in the year

Aaren Russell ‏@aarenrussell1h
@Official_CS27 you did a much better job on new tyres then me mate #p21 #whatashocker lucky I had a race to make it up #goodracepace

Thanks for those videos Marg!
Casey finished 11th from 17th position start in Race 2. And it was reduced to an 8 lap race!! Well done Casey :)

Casey Stoner ‏@Official_CS27 23m
Dunlop series is a joke. How can you declare a race after 8 laps of a circuit that has a 1.11.00 lap time.

Casey Stoner ‏@Official_CS27 23m
I feel for all the privateer teams that must travel thousands of km to race then only get three 14 lap races, one of which was cut to 8 laps.

Not sure where his combined race 1 & 2 results will put him on the grid for race 3. But with a full 14 lap race and an improved starting position, top 10 finish no problems! We will see..

I've just done a quick calculation and by my reckoning he should start around P16 so 1 place ahead of his race 2 start so hopefully top 10 should be easy with a full race distance :D

All of them are funny stuff Marg but liked this one the best :) It has only taken him half a season to get into the club too. Exactly how much more bad luck can Casey have this season? Hasn't he used all his up by now?
